TRANSMAN Consulting for Transport System Management Ltd. has been founded in April 1990 as an independent consulting by former research fellows to utilize their long year experience in the practice.

The company philosophy the transport system management will be understood as a comprehensive activity relating to the transport operations of urban areas, of greater areas and of transport companies. It includes the transport demands, the infrastructure, the means and organizations and the management of the transport processes as well as their impacts. This complex approach in the treatment of the transport problems meets the needs of the clients from the Ministry of Transport, the Highway Administration, the Municipality of Budapest, the Budapest Transport Company (BKV), the Hungarian State Rail (MAV) and from other municipalities and organizations.

The consulting activity of TRANSMAN with the aim of improving transport system processes concentrates on for main fields:

transport demand analysis and management; preparation of proposals and measurements for achieving more favourable ratios of modal split, exploring the cause and effect relations of the transport demands and behaviour,

traffic management; promoting the better use of the networks and establishments and the reduction of unfavourable effects knowing the volume, composition, direction of the organized and non-organized traffic,

transport organization development; efficient developing of the transport organizations catering for the transport demands, analysis of processes and costs, planning charges and revenues, controlling the processes,

transport infrastructure development; determination of the traffic volumes on the networks on the basis of the inter-territorial transport demand, deduction of the development needs, evaluation of the traffic, environmental economic, financial impacts of the solution-alternatives, elaboration of proposals for the development.
